Ferrari Heist: Waterbury Teen, Man Accused Of Stealing Multiple Luxury Cars

A Connecticut teen and 22-year-old man with long criminal histories are accused of stealing a $575,000 Ferrari from Greenwich and later an Acura from New York, authorities said. It's not the first time they've been linked to a stolen luxury vehicle.

Keon Webster, 18, and Dion Schontten, 22, both of Waterbury, are charged with stealing a motor vehicle, authorities said. This is Schotten's second time he's been charged with that crime and Webster's seventh, Waterbury police said.

Investigators say the duo swiped a 2023 Ferrari G12 GTS from Greenwich on Monday, Sept. 16. When police tried to pull them over, they floored it, but officers were later able to link them to the heist, officials said.

Police later retrieved the car.

On Thursday, Sept. 26, authorities said they boosted an Acura TLX from New York, and police were able to catch them later that day, Waterbury leaders said.

Webster also has an open warrant for allegedly stealing an Audi S8, and police are looking at other motor vehicle thefts in the area to see if they could be connected, authorities said.

A judge ordered Schontten held on a $150,000 bond and Webster on a $300,000 bond, authorities said.
